by | May 22, 2024

Alien Technology Transfer, a multi-national consultancy firm that has raised over $290 million for deep tech companies in the EU and USA, has named Aspira the winner of the inaugural Alien Pitch Competition. Selection followed an intensive process spanning almost 150 applications which were shortlisted to 12 innovators, including Aspira.

Investors for LIFTT, Omnes, Rubio Impact Ventures, SHIFT Invest, Borski Fund, Gateway Ventures and Innovestor took part in two hours of pitches from the shortlisted companies on 21 May 2024. Following a detailed Q&A session and careful consideration by the panel, Aspira was crowned the winner.

In announcing the outcome of this ground-breaking competition, Alien congratulated Aspira and thanked all the participants for their innovative ideas. Commenting on the success, Jon Fenning, Aspira Managing Director commented:

We’re incredibly proud to have won this competition, it is testament to all the hard work the Aspira Aerial Applications Ltd team have put in over the previous months and years.

This win follows hot on the heals of recent Aspira successes including the recent crowdfunding round which attracted investment from 177 investors, the successful completion of a wind turbine R&D project supported by Innovate UK and 2024 client projects including those in conjunction with tba.
