The Aspira AC Lite is a purpose built wash drone designed with a smaller, lighter subframe that is specialised for residential or domestic applications, or where access is extremely limited.

In the world of commercial drones, a collision detection system is considered a standard method to avoid flying into objects. The drone detects an object and moves out of its way.
When flying near buildings, it is not always obvious which direction it should move, or if it should even move at all.
Although Collision Detection is suitable for a variety of applications, in our advanced drones, it forms just one part of our CLIVE intelligent control system.
Advanced Surface Tracking

Our Advanced Surface Tracking expands on Collision Detection by visualising the surface, locking on to it, and then allowing strafing movements as required.
This allows a pilot who is flying 20 metres up a building and has lost their depth perception to effectively position the drone a set distance from the wall and continue to spray safely.
Our technology goes beyond object avoidance. When cleaning locked-out blades of a wind turbine, it is quite common for them to flex as much as four to five metres. With Advanced Surface Tracking, the drone can remain a safe two metres from the blade at all times.
Flying without GPS in Extreme Urban Environments

All drones navigate their surroundings through a combination of GPS and a built-in compass. In many instances, this is fine, especially in low-density areas with no interference.
However, operating in dense urban environments poses a range of challenges that require more advanced solutions.
Common problems exist where compasses become confused by localised power or metal work within walls or underground. Hospitals are particularly troublesome due to the nature of the equipment they operate inside.
Additionally, GPS signals (and even GPS with additional RTK base stations) cannot be relied upon around tall buildings as the signal is prone to mirroring. GPS also requires constant direct line of sight to operate.
Aspira is proud of our ground-breaking work to produce a drone that can operate in such challenging environments. Utilising CLIVE, our system takes the inputs from Cameras, Sensors, and Lidar and feeds them through our software to ingest the environment it is in. CLIVE can map the surface in front of it and pixel-map where it is moving. It can even identify water splashes generated from the cleaning itself.
